If you look the Twine Table carefully, you will agree that the shape is similar to the button of your shirts. The image above showing its prototype as the tables doesn’t hit mass production yet.

The table is an over sized button made in MDF supported by a metallic structure which in turn provides the basic aesthetics and acts as the base when it crosses thought the holes in its surface.
