Paperback Chair: “Sit Down Please!” 472 views

Chair made from discarded paperbacks

I’m not sure whether this chair is made for human to sitting down or for anything else such as decorative element on library room or just a place for storing a collection of book. But i think it’s a nice idea, you can do the same for your room.

Rhode Island artist David Karoff welded the chair and attached the paperbacks: they have holes drilled though their insides and are slipped onto a hidden rebar frame. All of the materials are recycled – even the books, which are cast-offs from the Rochambeau Library Book Sales. Who wants one of these chairs?
