In Septembe 2011, À Hauteur d’homme launched its all-new hard wood kitchen lines: ALEXANDRE, JULIE and EVA. Entirely manufactured in Montréal and tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer, every kitchen conveys a clean and original design that will stand the test of time. With a wide range of wood species and new material such concrete, glass and stainless steel available, the possibilities are virtually endless. The three kitchen concepts meet the environmental standards set out by À Hauteur d’homme and are part of the 1=1 reforestation program.
Three different design lines were created to meet the widest possible variety of needs and preferences. The ALEXANDRE line, which displays a discreet originality, is also the most affordable of the range and the most flexible in its configurations. The JULIE line stands out for its strong personality and passionate temperament. European bistro-inspired, it incorporates stainless steel and uses open storage spaces and tools for expression and creativity in the kitchen. The EVA style, finally, is positioned at the top of the range, offering uncommon refinement and elegance. From the line’s counter to its floating cabinets and island, EVA impresses as its design qualities remains as aesthetic as functional. The Bookseat, a simple bookcase that playfully curves and becomes a seat, is a creative design responding to the advent of multifunctional spaces in today’s urban living. The Bookseat is locally sourced and hand-crafted within 100 miles of Fishtnk’s studio in Parkdale, Toronto.
The Standard Bookseat is crafted with Canadian Maple with natural finish. We have released a limited white-washed edition for the Cutler and Gross of London, and a special edition with American Walnut. The Bookseat is available with a felt cushion in customizable colors and a limited edition leather. The current production of the Bookseat is limited to 100 pieces, uniquely numbered and tagged based on the order of production. JDS Architects unveils Mini Stacked at the Stockholm Furniture Fair (SFF) 2012 currently being held in the snowy capital from the 7th until the 11th of February. Mini Stacked is the wall-mountable and scaled down little brother of Stacked. As its free standing brother, it allows to organically compose a custom shelving.
